Last week a few members of the team travelled to the South West to carry out our routine client visits. We visit the boutique hotels we recruit for to ensure they meet our standards in caring for their employees.
These visits are always something we look forward to as it’s an opportunity to continue to build relationships with the hotels as well as seeing familiar faces of candidates we’ve placed there! Visiting weeks are always busy ones as we will still be speaking to candidates, booking interviews and continuing to find perfect matches, whilst juggling our audits and travel. These visits are of course sweetened by the amazing food we try and the beautiful surroundings we find ourselves in.
If you’ve read our About Us page you know that we visit hotels to RELATE, to ensure our candidates are well looked after:
- Read the employment contracts
- Evaluate training and career development opportunities
- Look at the staff accommodation and facilities
- Assess the company culture
- Talk to existing staff members
- Engage with owners and managers
We were treated to some truly amazing food - visiting a hotel that are absolute seafood experts, another with an incredible pastry chef (who was obviously placed by us!) and another hotel where their team of chefs only use local ingredients - many of them grown on site. We feasted on bouillabaisse, cheese souffle and steak with potato arancini.
Because we only work with boutique hotels, each kitchen has their own niche and style - which wont suit everyone. It’s worth getting in touch with us to demonstrate where your passion lies, we can then match you with the best hotel for you. And although this story focused on the food, we don’t just look for kitchen roles. Our hotels need front of house, back of house, managers, support and admin too. Take a look at our roles or give us a call, we’d love to speak to you.
